NCCS KOREA TRIP

ABOUT

Spend 9 days visiting sister schools, and sightseeing in Seoul, South Korea.

2025 Dates: March 20 - 29, 2025

Lodging and Food: The Korean team will help prepare lodging and excellent food.  Take note that sleeping arrangements will be determined with safety and security first. This may include a host family, church mission house and/or hotel.

Cost and Deposit: $2,850 includes flight, ground transportation, lodging, food, 3 activities and travel insurance. A deposit for flight is required upfront. A detailed schedule of payment will be given to participants.

Personal Expenses: The spending money to consider for snacks, gifts and miscellaneous needs will be in the range of $100 - $200 for the duration of the traveling period. You will want to bring cash to exchange into Won. You may want to consider having a bank card prepared to accept global purchases. 

PREPARING

  1. Passport - Submit your passport copy

  2. K-ETA - in 2024, this is not needed.  It may be needed in 2025. We will help you.

  3. Download KakaoTalk - We will make a group chat through this app.

PACKING

In Korea, March is a nice time to travel due to excellent weather that hovers between 45 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit. You will want to pack clothes that can be layered while maintaining a conservative appearance.  No tank tops, spaghetti strap dresses or shorts that are shorter than a 5 inch inseam.

To Prep:

  1. Order your medicine prescriptions two weeks before

  2. For debit and credit card users, let your bank know of your travel plans at least one week before

  3. Think of a basic wardrobe that can be washed in the sink if needed

  4. Consider all of your personal contents to fit in carry-on luggage.

To Pack:

  1. Five light shirts/blouses

  2. Three long pant (1 jean, 1 slack or loose cotton pant, skirt)

  3. One dress for ladies, one top with a collar for men.

  4. Undergarments

  5. One light jacket that is water resistant for the rain.

  6. Two - three shoes (sneakers, indoor slides/slippers, dress shoes)

  7. Toiletries (3.4 ounce containers or smaller)

  8. Tech equipment and power cords for phone/laptop

  9. Power adapter for Korea

  10. Towel - A thin microfiber style is suggested. Towels in Korea are the size of an American hand towel.

  11. Water bottle

  12. Vitamins and medications

March 22 - Saturday - Seoul Site Seeing

March 23 - Sunday - Church and Korean Folk Village

March 24 - Monday  -   School Visitation - Night time Sight Seeing

March 25 - Tuesday - School Visitation - Night time Sight Seeing

March 26 - Wednesday - School Visitation - Night time Sight Seeing

March 27 - Thursday - Site Seeing

March 28 - Friday - Site Seeing

March 29 - Saturday - Departure from Korea to the U.S.A.
